Article 1 (Purpose and scope)
- These terms (the "Terms") set out the conditions for taking part in the affiliate program (the "Program") of "JAPAN-ON-LINE eSIM", operated by SUNSYSCON INC. ("we", "us" or "our").
- The Terms apply to the whole relationship concerning the Program between us and anyone who applies to join or has been accepted into the Program (together, "Partners").
- Any guides or guidelines we publish for the Program form part of the Terms. If they differ from the Terms, the guide or guideline takes precedence.
Article 2 (Definitions)
In the Terms, the following words have these meanings.

- "Referral link" means a link to the Service (including a QR code) that we issue to each Partner and that contains information identifying that Partner.
- "Media" means the websites, blogs, social media accounts, videos, newsletters and other channels where a Partner places a referral link.
- "Conversion" means a purchase of the Service that meets the conditions in Article 10.
- "Commission" means the payment we make to a Partner for a confirmed conversion.
- "Portal" means the dedicated dashboard we provide to Partners for checking conversions and commission and requesting payouts.
Article 3 (Changes to the Terms)
- We may change the Terms when (1) the change is in the general interest of Partners, or (2) the change does not go against the purpose of the Program and is reasonable in light of the need for the change, the appropriateness of the new content and other circumstances.
- When we change the Terms, we will announce the change and the date it takes effect, before that date, on our website, in the Portal or by another appropriate means.
Article 4 (Application and review)
- Anyone who wishes to join the Program must agree to the Terms and apply in the way we specify.
- We review each application and the Media, decide whether to accept it and let the applicant know. We usually give the result within 3 business days, but checks may sometimes take longer.

- Each person (or company) may hold only one registration.
Article 5 (Updating and managing your details)
- If your registered details (name, contact details, Media, bank account for payouts, etc.) change, you must update them promptly in the Portal or in the way we specify. We are not responsible for any disadvantage arising from details that were not updated.
- You are responsible for keeping the email address, password and other details used to sign in to the Portal safe and must not let anyone else use them. Anything done using them is treated as done by you.
Article 6 (How to promote and Media standards)
- You may promote the Service by placing the referral link we issue on Media that you operate or are properly authorized to use.
- You must describe the Service (price, data allowance, validity period, coverage, speed, delivery time, etc.) accurately, based on the information we publish, and must not make untrue statements or claims that could mislead people into thinking the Service is significantly better than it is.
- When promoting the Service, you must comply with Japanese laws (including the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations, the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions, the Act on Regulation of Transmission of Specified Electronic Mail, the Copyright Act and the Act on the Protection of Personal Information), the laws of the countries and regions where your audience is, and the rules of the platforms you use (social media, etc.).
- Your Media must not contain: (1) anything that breaks the law or public order and morals; (2) obscene, violent, discriminatory, defamatory or otherwise harmful content; (3) anything that infringes the copyright, trademark, portrait rights, privacy or other rights of others; (4) content relating to illegal gambling, drugs, counterfeit goods or other illegal products or services; or (5) anything else we judge unsuitable for promoting the Service.
Article 7 (Disclosing that content is an advertisement)
- You must make it clear to your audience that any article, post or video containing a referral link includes advertising for our Program (for example, "Ad", "PR" or "Contains promotion").
- The disclosure must also follow the methods required by the laws of the countries and regions where your audience is and by the rules of the platforms you use.
Article 8 (Prohibited conduct)
In connection with the Program, you must not:
- buy the Service through your own referral link, whether yourself or through your family, employees or anyone who is effectively the same as you (self-referral);
- offer money, points, prizes or other rewards to your audience in return for purchases (points sites, sweepstakes, cashback, etc.) without our prior written consent (email counts);
- without our prior consent, bid on keywords containing our name or the Service's name ("JAPAN-ON-LINE eSIM", "Japan Online" and similar terms, including misspellings) in search ads or other ads, or use them in ad text or display URLs;
- use domain names, account names or app names that contain our name or the Service's name or could be mistaken for our official site or accounts;
- send advertising emails or messages without the recipient's consent, or send any other unwanted messages;
- cause clicks or page views the visitor did not intend, store referral information (cookies, etc.) without the visitor's action, use programs or bots to click automatically, or otherwise create or inflate conversions or commission by improper means;
- publish discounts, coupons or campaigns that we do not offer, or ones that have ended, as if they were available;
- alter or bypass the referral link system or interfere with other Partners' referrals;
- contact customers in our name or as if you were our official contact, or handle customer enquiries or complaints as if you were us;
- damage the reputation or standing of, or cause disadvantage to, us, the Service, other Partners or third parties; or
- do anything else that breaks the Terms, the law or public order and morals, or that we judge to be inappropriate.
Article 9 (Use of materials and trademarks)
- Copyright, trademarks and other rights in the text, images, logos, banners and other materials we provide to Partners ("Materials") belong to us or the rightful owners.
- While you take part in the Program, you may use the Materials to promote the Service, following our instructions. You must not alter the Materials or use them for any other purpose without our consent.
- We may ask you at any time to change how you use the Materials or to stop using them, and you must comply promptly. If you leave the Program or your registration is cancelled, you must promptly remove referral links and Materials from your Media.
Article 10 (When a conversion occurs)
- A conversion occurs when a visitor buys the Service and the payment is completed within 30 days of clicking your referral link.
- If the same visitor clicks the referral links of more than one Partner, the conversion is credited to the Partner whose link was clicked last before the purchase (last-click attribution).
- A conversion may not be recorded if referral information was not stored because of the visitor's browser settings, ad blockers or other network conditions, or a fault in our systems.
Article 11 (Confirmation and rejection of conversions)
- We confirm or reject each conversion after checking the payment, whether the order was refunded or cancelled, whether there was any fraud, and other details. As a rule, we aim to confirm or reject a conversion within 30 days of the date it occurred.
- We may reject a conversion if: (1) the order was refunded or cancelled, or the payment did not go through; (2) it was a self-referral, a duplicate order or a test order; (3) it came from Media or methods that break Articles 6 to 9; (4) we reasonably judge that it came from improper clicks, inducement or other improper means; or (5) it otherwise arose in breach of the Terms.
- If any of the reasons above comes to light after a conversion was confirmed, we may cancel the confirmation.
- You can check the status of each conversion (pending, confirmed, rejected, etc.) in the Portal.
Article 12 (Commission)
- Commission is the total amount paid for the order of a confirmed conversion (including consumption tax; there are no shipping or other fees), multiplied by the commission rate, rounded to the nearest yen. The commission rate is 10% as a rule; if we and the Partner agree on a different rate, that rate applies.
- If we change the commission rate or other commission conditions, we will announce the change and the date it takes effect in advance in the Portal or elsewhere. The change applies to conversions that occur on or after that date.
- Commission amounts include consumption tax.
Article 13 (Payout of commission)

- Commission is paid only by bank transfer to an account in your name that you have registered.
- As a rule, within 5 to 10 business days of receiving a request, we check the request and the commission it covers, approve it and make the transfer.
- We pay the transfer fee for transfers to bank accounts in Japan. Transfers to bank accounts outside Japan are made only where we are able to offer them, and in that case remittance, intermediary and receiving fees and currency costs are borne by the Partner.
- We are not responsible if a transfer cannot be made or is delayed because the bank details you registered are wrong or incomplete. In that case, the cost of making the transfer again is borne by you.

Article 22 (Damages)
- If you cause us loss by breaking the Terms or by improper conduct, you must compensate us for that loss (including reasonable legal fees).

Article 23 (Exclusion of anti-social forces)
- You represent and warrant, now and in the future, that you are not, and have no relationship with, organized crime groups, their members, related companies, corporate racketeers or other anti-social forces ("Anti-Social Forces").
